Rafting trips on the Rogue River bring smiles to everyone on board!

Full & Half Day Trips on the Recreation Section of the Rogue River

The popular Rogue River Recreation Section welcomes thousands of rafters each summer. The Half Day AM and Full Day trips start at Robertson Bridge and include a scenic float through the famous Hellgate Canyon down through Taylor Creek Gorge. You’ll experience a few of the smaller rapids and see numerous Bald Eagle nests and wildlife habitats. The afternoon trip (and the second half of the Full Day trip) increases the number of rapids and becomes more remote through Bailey Creek Canyon and the famous Argo rapid. Lunch is served on the Half Day PM and Full Day trips.  We’ll stop at Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge for a lunch buffet including Angus, chicken, salmon, and portobello burgers, baked beans, & salad.
Important note: For your safety, we ask that you wear shoes that attach to your feet. No flip flops.

Sunset Float Trips
Relax with a late afternoon float through the Hellgate Canyon section of the Rogue River. Frequently, the riverside wildlife awakens to play as twilight threatens the day; the raft floats silently downstream while families of otters frolic on the sandy beach and beavers emerge to make their rounds. We stop for a light meal and enjoy wine tasting before we continue on. Sunset Float Trips begin at 4:30 pm and ends at 8:30 pm in the summer months. Please contact us about trip times in September. Advance reservations required. This trip begins on May 15th.

We offer three trip types for Day Trips in the Rogue River Recreation Section: Full Day, Half Day AM, and Half Day PM. Our trips leave daily between May 15 and October 15.  Our Sunset Float Trip begins May 15th and runs through the summer. Nugget Rafting Trip

    Rogue River Rafting Nugget Stretch

The Rogue River “Nugget” rafting trip is exciting and fun whitewater for everyone from beginners to seasoned rafters. On this unique whitewater rafting sampler you will experience a little of everything the Rogue River has to offer: calm pools, easy class 2 rapids, challenging class 3+ rapids, and a famous Class 4 waterfall drop-‘Ti’lomikh Falls’. There are many exciting splashes and rapids on this trip that guarantee to get you wet!

We begin our trip on mellow “warm-up” water, where the rapids start out small and easy. This is your chance to learn how to paddle, relax, and take in the beautiful scenery. After our warm up, the rapids turn up the excitement with class III+ Nugget Falls and the class IV Powerhouse rapid (Ti’lomikh Falls). For both Nugget and Powerhouse Falls the river channels into a narrow chute which creates the drops. Fun large waves await at the bottom to cool you off. Nugget Falls has one main drop, whereas Powerhouse has two pour-overs or drops that funnel you into the main hole at the bottom. There is plenty of time in between these bigger rapids to jump in, swim, and cool off in the refreshing water of the Rogue River.

The whitewater fun, can be enjoyed by adrenaline junkies, families, or the guest looking for something new and different. Though the Nugget run is a step up in difficulty from our more mellow day trip on the Recreational Section, this is still a family safe trip. There is always an option to walk around any of the class IV rapids. Your guides are willing to cater each trip around your needs. No rafting experience is required.

Join us for a weekend getaway or splash retreat. Morrison’s, Southern Oregon’s Premiere Rogue River Lodge, offers a special package rate to all our rafters. This specific special offer includes lodging, a four-course gourmet dinner on the deck, and a country breakfast buffet. Call 1-800-336-1647 to check lodge availability.
