If you are looking to have a great family
vacation, rafting is one of
the most memorable experiences you will have. We offer a range of rafting
activities including multiple day trips,
day trips, and
half day trips.
 Our multiple day
camp trips are
great for bonding. You spend all day in a raft, floating down the Wild and
Scenic section of the Rogue River. All the while, enjoying the canyon's charm,
which lies in its thrilling whitewater stretches, alternated with mild riffles,
placid pools, and narrow canyons edged by towering cliffs. The old growth
Douglas fir forest, mixed with deciduous trees, creates a perfect river bank
habitat for the abundant wildlife of the Rogue River Canyon.
 Otter, beaver, deer, Roosevelt elk, black
bear, cougars, osprey, bald eagles, mallards, wood ducks, wild turkeys, and
many others flourish in the wilderness river canyon. At the end of the rafting
day, guides set up camp and become chefs in the preparation of delicious camp
meals. You just relax with your family and enjoy the scenic splendor of the
wilderness corridor while all camp chores are expertly handled by our
staff.
 If your family isn't into "roughing it"
then we do offer exciting lodge trips
which are great for the whole family. These rustic lodges are only accessible
by river, still giving you that wilderness feeling. After a day on the river,
you can enjoy a hot shower, dine on a delicious family-style meal, and drift
off to sleep in a comfortable bed. Our three day trip is our recommended lodge
trip, allowing time for relaxation and exploration of side canyons and scenic
hikes. There is even time for bank fishing for the famous Salmon and Steelhead
of the Rogue River.
If you aren't sure if you want to camp or lodge,
try one of our camp/lodge
trips. This is our most popular trip. Your family can experience the best
of both worlds. They can enjoy the outdoors the first night by camping on a
sandy beach and the second night they can enjoy hot showers and a comfortable
bed to sleep on in one of the beautiful lodges.
 If you are interested in spending only a day or part
of a day on the river, we offer whitewater rafting trips daily
(full and half day), with inflatable kayaking and paddle rafting options.
Affordable and ideal for the entire family, the trip features a 13 mile fun,
yet moderate, whitewater run and includes a riverside picnic lunch on the full
and afternoon half day trips. The full day trip begins at 8:30 AM. Half day
trips begin at 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

As part of your Oregon
Adventure Travel on the wild and scenic Rogue River you will have the
opportunity to visit many historic sites. These sites include the Whisky Creek
Cabin, The Battle Bar Cabin, Zane Grays Cabin, and the Anderson Ranch at Mule
Creek.
Explore
Whisky Creek Cabin built by placer miners around 1880. Lou
Martin was the last miner to live in the cabin. It is located about
¼ mile above the river at Whisky Creek.The cabin features a solar
shower and some historic mining relics. The Cabin is also known as "Lou
Martin's Sunset on Rogue". A very interesting place to visit.
Visit Battle Bar Cabin located on
the south bank for the Rogue River at Battle Bar. The Battle Bar was the site
of a major battle between Colonel Kelsey's calvary and the Takelma Indians in
the 1850's. The cabin at Battle Bar was build by Bob Fox, who planned on making
it a fishing resort, but he was unable to finish it before his neighbor, Jack
Mahoney shot and killed him in 1947.
 Further down the river at Winkle Bar stands the Zane
Gray Cabin. Zane Gray is the world famous western novelist. This cabin is
listed on the register of national historic places. Zane Gray was said to have
spent many fall season fishing and writing in this cabin.
Located at the mouth of Mule Creek is the
historic
Anderson Ranch. Originally built by the Billings family
before the turn of the century. The ranch was later sold to the Anderson family
 who owned the original Hollywood Hotel in California.
Now owned by the BLM, the Anderson
Ranch is kept as a museum. It houses many artifacts from the early pioneer days
of the Rogue River canyon.

Pacific Northwest Whitewater

In The Pacific Northwest the Rogue River
is famous for it's beautiful scenery and amazing white water. Through the 34
mile stretch, you will experience many exciting rapids. The whitewater on the
Wild Section is rated class III - IV in the canyon with two world famous Class
IV+ rapids: Blossom Bar Rapid and Mule Creek Canyon. These Pacific Northwest
trips we offer on the Lower Rogue River are from two to four days and cover
nearly 40 miles by river. Participants may choose to
camp out under the
stars, stay in historic
wilderness lodges,
or combine one or two nights of
camping with one night of
lodging.
If Pacific Northwest rafting isn't what you quite
had in mind we offer awesome fishing
trips. Rogue Wilderness Adventures has specialized in fishing on the Rogue
River since the early 1970s. Our staff of seasoned veterans are experts in a
variety of fishing techniques: fly fishing, spin casting, bait bouncing, and
pulling plugs. In order to provide the kind of individual instruction we
prefer, there is one guide per boat, and each boat holds only two fishermen.
 Our McKenzie-style drift boats are truly the "Rolls
Royce" of river craft. Passengers relax in the luxury of comfortable
bucket-type seats with back rests. The guide sits behind where he can give
instruction and watch the rod tips for the tell-tale bite. Each part of the
year has a different fish running. Winter Steelhead run January to March,
Spring Chinook run April to June, Summer Steelhead and Fall Chinook run August
to October, and Coho Salmon run October to November.

 During this 4 day adventure
you’ll hike almost 40 miles but have the luxury of staying in
our historic lodges along your journey. A raft will follow below on the river
carrying your gear. All you need to carry is a light pack with water, snacks
and some clothing.
