Long underwear, (wool or polypropylene) does not take up much space and is effective insulation in wet or dry conditions. Fleece outerwear is popular with our guiding staff as insurance against the cold. Remember that cotton is not effective in keeping you warm and actually makes you cold when it gets wet. The staging area for the trip is our office at 325 Galice Road in Merlin, Oregon. You will need to pack a lunch, so plan appropriately. You will be loaned a dry bag for your belongings (PACK TIGHTLY). Soft duffle bags are convenient for packing your belongings; the duffles can be slipped in and out of the waterproof bags with ease. Hard suitcases do not work as they will not fit into the bags. For your convenience, waterproof bags are available at our office the day before your trip . Everyone will be fitted with a life jacket when you meet your guide at the boat ramp. Transportation is provided round trip from our office. You can plan to park your car in our parking lot while on the trip. At the end of the trip, our shuttle bus will return you to the office by 4:00 or 4:30 PM(earlier take-out times must be arranged in advance.). You are welcome to bring a camera and/or a camcorder. We recommend you purchase a waterproof bag or case for your camera or recorder.
